lol my life is crazy hahahaha. AND my mom also offered to send me to France for a while to stay with family friends. I think she is anticipating that I will be missing Davis/Craig upon graduation, and she wants to help me get over it by making my life as full as possible. I think she is also trying to matchmake me with the son of her family friend ahaha.

Also, I'm trying to raise funds for my trips & rent, so I'm selling some clothes again. I have a few things up at http://shopxinester.tumblr.com/ , but more things are coming soon.
I have a lot of miscellaneous thoughts about the events in Japan, but the main point is that I am concerned with the people there and would also like to make donations. Regarding the tumblr shop I just posted, I am also donating 15% of those sales to Red Cross. I also am opening Tegaki commissions; anything like this for $5! 100% nonprofit.

fuck I cried, this is so sweet. Four month old baby is rescued!

YOU CAN DO IT! No dying!

oh my god those Marc Jacobs clogs are amazing on your tumblr. If they aren't orange and were size 5 i would snap them up. You have such impeccable fashion.

Also, awesome that you're donating part of the funds! And doing commissions. It's nice to see all these artists doing this. I try hard not to get too emotional or anxious over the news I read, so I only check the news once a day. The nuclear plants scare me too much, but thankfully if they don't melt down in the next few days, they won't in the future either.

aw thanks bb! I actually have some vintage things I need to put up eventually too, and one of them made me think of you. it's very victorian and white and lacey hehe! i was thinking of cutting it up and keeping it for myself, but i should empty my closet a little :I

Yeah! I actually did this type of fundraising last time when I was selling my stuff during the Haiti crisis. I feel bad that I can't donate 100% of the sales, but I really need some money to help me pay rent & trip stuff.
Last round, I think I raised like $60 for Haiti? But anyways, yes, Japan. Right now, diverting some funds to Japan. I might do another fundraiser thing for Haiti again though :( wahh everyoneeee, i wishhhh could be okay and happy.

The news about japan makes me really upset but I can't tear myself away from the tv. I think Japan particularly upsets me because when I see the photos of the people, they visually remind me of my own family? I tear up a lot when I watch the news blahh. And the nuclear reactor stuff is scary too. I haven't read this completely yet, but this is a good resource : http://gizmodo.com/#!5781887/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-fukushima-power-plant-and-nuclear-reactions
It looks like things aren't too bad tbh.
my mom was really freaking out about the radiation possibly affecting vietnam though, but i think we're gonna be ok. SIGH!

Eee lacey! I'll have to keep an eye on the tumblr just to see what it looks like. Maybe I can alter it to fit or something if its not too much.

I think Haiti is going to get pushed onto the backburner now, even though they still need help... which is sad, but at the same time, Japan really does need this help ASAP with all the damage. SO many people displaced and

Ugh I know, I try hard not to read the news articles I see but I end up reading some of them. The one about the bodies washing up on the shores was just horrifying. I get really upset about it, too.. I have family there (and my second cousin just gave birth to twin boys in late Dec), so I'm really worried about them in general, especially since most the family is elderly. I cried when I read/heard about it when it all first happened, too.
(haha, on a humorous note, my mom's cousin replied back to our email saying "yes im fain, every one oh raitu." it was cute.) We had plans to go there in May, and hopefully we still can as long as the plane still goes, but I have no idea what to even do now while I'm there, all I'll be able to think about are all the people who need help. I won't be able to enjoy myself, I'd feel too guilty.

OH thanks, I'll have to read that! My local news tonight actually gave an update about the nuclear stuff, and it seems to be under control. I'm glad to hear it won't affect Vietnam, and hopefully any other surrounding areas.

Ahh good luck with your crazy schedule T3T

Honestly I've been terrible at keeping up with news in the past few months, it seems like it's just one revolution after another, and now Japan :( It's really good to see people from around the world trying to help though. But even after I donated to MSF I still feel like it's literally the least I could do, and all we can do is wait and watch how things turn out u__u
